A Strategy for Baccarat

Although like many other casino games, baccarat is based on luck and chance, there are still some basic strategies that may be employed so as to increase a player’s chance of winning.

Of all of the strategies that may be available there is only one that is worthwhile and that is the one known as score-keeping or card counting. In card counting the aim is to track the pattern of the cards by determining which cards have already been played during the course of the game and from that deducing which cards are still in the deck to be played at a future stage. At most casinos, scorecards are provided in baccarat lounges so as to assist players with their card counting.

There is however, only a limited degree of success attached to this strategy of card counting, and that is why casinos are hardly threatened by it. To discern a pattern or to predict future play is of as little success in card games as it is in any other games that rely solely on chance. In reality, each combination of cards in baccarat is one of a kind and is not influenced by card counting strategies.

Still knowing this does not discourage baccarat fans, some of whom keep track of the cards religiously, with the hope that if they persevere they may win.
